SO MUCH TO SAY

I firmly believe that blogs are for those with something to say. There are SO MANY COOL PEOPLE out there, saying REAL STUFF -- masterfully! I visit their blogs... and I am SO incredibly moved by what people have to say, and the way they have to say it.

The only real problem *here* is that: I honestly don't have anything to say:)
I no longer know how to tell stories. Or maybe I have none to tell?

So. You're going to have to just deal with PIX only.

Pix from 2 weekends in Salida. Pix from my perspective. Pix of things I love and perspectives I have.

I love the following, in no particularly special order.
Love This.

What i see here... is a VERY smooth path. No seriously. This is ridiculously smooth.

Does anyone else see what I see? Yeah. Tell me about it!

Oh goodness gracious. Yummy, yummy, PIE. Singletrack LIFE pie.

OOOO! More of that! HI ED! Whatchya dooin'?

And that would be TOM -- riding off the front. Into a beautiful afternoon. Linking some KICKASS trail. Juss sayin'.

Ohhhhh SWOOOSSSHHHH and SOOOOONNNN!!!

This would be my HAIL THE UNIVERSE SALUTE ... I'm very good at this. Because the Universe is very good at THAT.

I zee a ZenTree. What do you see?

HA!!!!  What do you think this conversation is about? This cracks me up out ffin' loud. Ed on left -- Tom on right. It's a consultation, I think.

GIDDY UP (down) Honey Butter Cup!

THIS is one of my faves. EssENCE. Don't know why. Just IS.

It can be big out here. Especially when it's windy.

Also one of my faves. It's just such an accurate ... image.

Beautiful Land, don't you think?

Kind of On Yer Knees honorable, eh?

THIS land...

Tom, making FLOW happen

Mmmm... hello, Pony. Thank you, Pony. I love you, Pony.

THE END.

More to come -- because MIFF is here (for 2 more months) and it's about to get HEC-TIC.

YEHAW!!!

WINNING

I've changed my mind.
If I have sunshine, trail, pony and friends within the same view, then I'm DEFINITELY winning.
Blog or not.

So, Spring Break days 2, 3, and 4 All.Mixxed.Up.

SpinnBlissed with Ez AND Jen one day!

We are doing a very high-tech test here.

 Scott is WINNING!
I feel very lucky when friend-worlds collide. Makes me feel like everything is juuuust RIGHT.
Shazaaam! I now know what Scott's secret power food is. Who wants to guess?
 Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...... yes. Love the DESERT.
Seriously. Who is going to guess Scott's extra go-go energy food? I dare you. And no, it's not Mexican food.
By the way, it's ffin' GORGEOUS in the desert. If you couldn't tell.
Re-learning to ride. NO VROOMZoom for me. Just straiiiiight up piddle pedal goodness. Right Ez and Scott? :)
Let's see -- while Ez was off working the Intervals... Scott was showing me around Sagauro City.
We timed it just right. What is THAT barreling down the paveway?
It's ESZTER! Last interval done -- down for some warm down dirt laps.
 HIIIIIII!!!!
 WWWHHHHEEEE!!!!
I might want to leave right near here.
The real reason Jen, Ez and I sauntered our freebliss way on the AZT (somewhere) -- was to see the kitty and to eat ice cream. DUH.

So I would say: I WIN. More to come! Yes, really! Jj

LOSING!!!

losing the blogging battle, that is.

i had a spring break this year.
a much needed respite from the concrete and computer chaos that is the center of my current life focus.
oh.... and a break out from REEEECOOOVVEEERRRRRYYYYYY.... which i'm just SO FFING OVER.

THANK YOU EZ and SCOTT for hosting a magnificent spring break. i forgot what those were all about :)

I will start with just a few pix from ... well ... random land. I'll save others and try and become a regular picture-posting mtb ADDICT again. Try.Try.Try.

This is beauty. All lovable.

I arrived in AZ on a PLANE with a massive Pony Box -- thanks to Ez.
We went straight to dinner (Tacos) with Scott. Not his usual tacos, but I thought they were fucking perfect.
AND, we could walk around at night in SHORTS. My jeans and boost were....... uhm.... sweaty.

Ez, taking a moment. To ponder. AZT MADNESS.

Day 1 found us out on a big loop of singletrack.
I've not been able to ride single track since December 8th.
OUCH.
Knee recovery is ... not finished. But AZ Sunshine Dirt was a spiritual MUST. So. It happened.

NO.GIGGLING.HERE.

Our ride was awful. Can't you tell?

This part was fun. But not as fun as it could have been were it not for it being DAY FFING ONE of singletrack. BAH.

Lost. Jeny

Happiness Found
I miss riding with my friend. A LOT.

Day 1 was perfect. A perfect THOROUGH reintroduction to my singletrack self, my pony, my friends, the sunshine, dirt ... sweat. OMFG. It was IN MY VEINS and on my skin and swirling around with my spirit.

Yes.It.Was.

Days 2, 3, 4 + to come....

Ride.Number.ONE.

I have been in the land of recovery for the last 2 months.
6 months, really -- but NO PONY for 2 months.

I have finally been 'cleared' for a LITTLE bit of outside rolly motion. As long as it's smooth, paved, ice and sand free.

So I hitched a ride with Ed and Steve on their Mandate.

The feeling of actually rolling with motion, through the light and air, along the pavement was nothing short of pure exhiliration.

I headed home before the boys so as to keep a lid on my over-excitement at rolling outside once again.

On the way home, I found dirt that was as good as pavement.

Hey, I'll take what I can get at this point!

It made me so very, very happy.

Here's to a long road back to riding singletrack.

Reputation

So Eszter and I set out for a longish ride.

We ride and ride and chat and chat and harass one another silly.

We fly by moto group after moto group after moto group.
The guys below yelled, in our passing: "You KNOW about this hill coming up, right?!!!"
Jeny: "YUP! Looking forward to it!!!"
And buh-bye. Poof, gone in a dusty flash.

And we keep barreling along. All happy-like and blissed out of our skulls.

We had mtb company for a short while. But they couldn't hang. So we ditched them and carried on.

We hit the far arc of our route, and hiked our bikes up one of the little uber-hills.

At the top, we pulled aside and watched in complete AWE as 4 moto dudes come wrangling their power-pony selves to the top of the little uber-hill. It was sincerely impressive.

First moto dude takes off his helmet and looks at us:
"HHEEYYY! You two have quite the reputation our here, do you know that?"

Ez/Jeny: "uhm, what exactly do you mean by that -- do we know you?"

Moto dude, and his 3 partners: "HAHAHAAH!!! We've been tracking you and chasing you ALL DAY!  Each moto group that you've passed has said something about where the heck you are, where you're going, and how fast you're moving!!"

Ez/Jeny: "Really!!??  That is really funny! Because we've seen at least 4-5 groups of motos out here."

Moto dudes: "YEAH, that's about right -- one of them even said you both just tore off down the hill and dove off the side of the valley!"

Ez/Jeny: "HA!!! ... yeah, that was the fun part!"

Much giggling followed.

And we tore our way back to the car.

The End
